During 2017-21, I was a Design Lead supporting User Experience for Cisco.com's design system.
Cisco's Design System is based in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and is broken down into web components used by other Cisco employees and creative vendors to build pages on Cisco.com. My charter was to understand the components and help others understand how to use them, and in doing so expand Cisco's digital language. Examples of projects: researching and making design changes to large-scale patterns like the global navigation, enhancing individual components, or creating and testing entirely new components.
Improving UX for a global pattern.
Creating a net-new component.
Net-new documentation and best practices for components.
